CTE PLAYBOOK
The CTE track takes careful planning, but can be one of the most rewarding paths for students. Check out the steps below and talk with your counselors.
1st QUARTER
Discover high-paying, technical careers and meet industry leaders at Worlds of Work Varsity at Shelton State Community College. This free, annual event takes place the second Thursday in October.
2nd QUARTER
Join the Huddle! Meet with industry leaders at your school for Huddles, where you will learn more about career opportunities and technical education. Parents/guardians are encouraged to attend. Your school will have Huddle details, so stay in the know!
3rd QUARTER
It’s time for the Playoffs! Experience industry that sparks your interest at your Playoffs Industry Tour. Your parent/guardian is encouraged to join you to learn more about where you may work after graduation.
4th QUARTER
Signing Day has arrived! Sign up for career technical education courses in March. You can talk to your school counselor or CTE director about these courses and check out career pathway information.
