Career Spotlight

Forester

Foresters manage, develop, and protect forest lands and other natural resources. They work for private companies in the logging, timber, paper, and wood pulp industries. Some teach forestry in colleges and graduate schools. Others conduct research for the U.S. Forest Service and other similar organizations.

Most foresters perform duties related to the protection and improvement of forest lands. They supervise the planting of new forests, determine what trees should be harvested, and direct the removal of diseased or damaged trees or those blocking the growth of surrounding trees.[/stm_icon_box][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]
